Chris and I are enjoying the slow week. Friday was quite the fun day for us. Early afternoon we headed to a Lady's home to pick out our new KITTY!! We have named him Lewis. He is not ready to come home with us yet because he is only 7 weeks and will be getting fixed. Lewis will be joining us here on August 15th. He is already spoiled with tons of goodies awaiting his arrival. That evening we had dinner and played laser tag with the 8th graders. This was Rene's (Jr High pastor) last event with our students. Needless to say Chris acted like a wild man and came home with bloody legs. Go figure. Saturday was a much needed lazy day. However, we did go pick out a few new fish for our tank. We added Hoover the cleaning fish, Spot the dalmation looking fish, X-Ray the tiny see through fish, and Sundance. They are all the best of friends. Sunday I had the privelage of watching Chris baptize 10 of our highschool students that have given their lives to Christ this summer. What a HUGE blessing to be a part of! After church we headed to Jared to have my ring and band cleaned. Somehow the sweet and oh so sneaky Chris bought the ring I have been eyeing with out me knowing and presented it to me later that day. It was a very nice surprise. Monday evening we were blessed to have dinner with Mr. Randy, Mrs. Carla, Haley, and Harrison Hays who are vacationing in Seattle! We always love a little taste of home! Last night we attended a going away pary for Rene and will be having lunch with him shortly. He will be leaving for Southern August 4th. Please be in prayer for Chris during this time as he will now be teaching the Jr High, Highschool, and College groups. I cant say enough how blessed we are to see how many people continue to read the blog and send us letters. We are so greatful!
