Winter Retreat and Other Things

Well Chris and I just returned home from winter camp. We took over 100 high school students to the Firs retreat center in Bellingham, Wa. Friday mainly consisted of getting settled in. The kids were pumped about the weekend! Saturday, my favorite day, we headed up to Mt. Baker to ski, snow board, and sled. It was really great quality time with the kiddos. There were services and small group discussion all throughout the weekend and I feel like the students were really encouraged and edified. Chris did a fantastic job putting the retreat together and executing the plans perfectly on a day to day basis! I was so proud! I had to come home Sunday morning for work that afternoon but Chris and the crew stayed through Monday since school was out. Overall it was an incredible weekend!! After all of that we needed a few days of R&R. We headed to downtown Edmonds (a city on the water) yesterday for lunch and a trip to the beach. The sun was shinning bright and It was a perfect day for a beach trip. In other news, I am still loving my job but really ready for a new manager to be hired. The extra hours look great on the pay slip but are taking a lot out of me! Chris is still loving his job of course and is glad to have a new admin to help out. Nothing is coming up extremely soon... We have our Hawaii trip in April to look forward to!! Please be in prayer for an upcoming trip to Albania this summer. Two teams will be going two weeks in a row to serve. The trips will be expensive so please pray for provision and most of all that The Lord would go before us. Albania is the most atheistic country in the world and we are looking forward to sharing the love of Christ with them! And I almost forgot to mention Lewis! He is just as crazy as ever... Maybe one day he will mellow out and be a lap cat... or maybe not

And for those of you who are wondering, we had a fantastic Valentines Day. Chris took me to dinner at Macaroni Grill and got me pearl earrings! He is a keeper!
More updates to come...
